The HiKOKI NR1890DCB is the third-generation Speed Series cordless framing nailer. It is HiKOKI's lightest and fastest first-fix nailer, built for carpenters, roofers, timber frame builders and fencing contractors. It drives paper-collated nails from 50mm to 90mm, including ring shank nails, at up to 4.5 nails per second, so it can keep up with fast-paced framing and studwork.
It runs on HiKOKI's Air Spring Drive System+, so there's no gas, no fuel cells, no fumes and no compressor or hose to drag around. You simply fit a battery and start nailing. Magnesium-alloy components make it around 10% lighter than the previous NR1890DCA, at just 3.3kg (body only). A more aggressive nose improves grip for skew nailing, and the brushless motor delivers around 700 nails from a single 5.0Ah battery.
The magnesium magazine holds 54–57 nails and is quick to load and easy to clean, and optional magazines are available for longer framing strips, metal connectors and duplex nails. Tool-free depth adjustment, an electronic dry-fire lockout and a built-in LED light make it easy to work accurately all day. What nails does the HiKOKI NR1890DCB use?
It uses paper-collated framing nails at a 30°–34° angle, 50–90mm long with a 2.8–3.3mm shank diameter, including ring shank nails.
Does the NR1890DCB need gas?
No. It uses HiKOKI's Air Spring Drive System+ and runs only on the battery, so there are no fuel cells, fumes or compressor.
What's the difference between the NR1890DCB and the NR1890DCA?
The NR1890DCB is the third generation. It uses magnesium-alloy components to make it around 10% lighter than the NR1890DCA, fires faster and has an interchangeable magazine system.
How many nails do I get per battery?
Expect approximately 700 nails per 5.0Ah battery charge, depending on the timber and nail size.
