The Footprint 1237 is a heavy-duty guarded brick bolster for cutting bricks, blocks, and larger masonry. Its wide 114 mm blade splits masonry cleanly, and the fitted hand guard protects your hand from glancing hammer blows. It is built for demanding, everyday site use.

Hand guard for added protection

This bolster comes fitted with a high-quality EVA plastic hand guard. The guard shields your hand from glancing blows when you strike the bolster. The domed head also stops the guard sliding off the handle after repeated hammer strikes.

Extra-strong 4.5" blade

The larger 114 mm blade has additional strengthening ribs down the sides and centre. This extra reinforcement gives it the strength to cut larger bricks and blocks without flexing. Tradesmen rate this size as virtually indestructible in normal use.

Forged in one piece

The bolster is fully drop-forged from a single piece of high-quality carbon steel, head to blade. This one-piece construction is far stronger than a bolster with only a forged blade. A strengthened, tapered neck resists snapping at the weakest point.

Hard-wearing blade and head

The blade is hardened, tempered, and accurately ground for a keen, long-lasting edge. A domed anti-mushroom head resists splintering and mushrooming from repeated blows, extending the tool's working life.

Made to British Standard

The bolster is manufactured to BS 3066 and finished in high-visibility blue paint, so it is easy to spot on a busy site.
