The Estwing E3-28S is a professional 28 oz framing hammer forged from a single piece of solid steel. Its long handle and heavy head drive large nails with real power, making it a favourite for framing and carpentry. Estwing has made these hammers in the USA since 1923.
The head and handle are forged in one piece and fully polished. There is no join to work loose or break, so the hammer offers outstanding strength, balance, and temper. It is built to last a working lifetime.
This model has a smooth striking face. A smooth face is the right choice when you want to avoid marking the timber, so it suits finish work and exposed framing as well as general nailing. For extra grip on nails in rough framing, the milled-face version (E3-28SM) is also available.
The straight rip claw does more than pull nails. Use it to pry boards, split wood, and carry out demolition work. It is a genuine all-rounder on site.
Estwing's patented Shock Reduction Grip is bonded and moulded onto the handle, so it will never come loose. It reduces impact vibration by up to 70%, for comfortable, controlled use through a long day. A longer handle adds leverage and striking power.
