The Bahco PC-22-INS is a 550 mm (22") handsaw made specially for cutting insulation. Its unique waved toothing slices cleanly through soft and rigid insulation with low friction and very little dust. It gives a neat, accurate finish that a standard saw cannot match on these materials.

Waved toothing for clean cuts

The wave-formed sharpened edge (WT toothing) is designed for insulation, not timber. It cuts with a slicing action that reduces tearing and leaves a smooth edge. Best of all, the blade can be re-sharpened with any regular knife sharpener, so it keeps cutting cleanly for longer.

Cuts all common insulation

The PC-22-INS has been tested on all sorts of insulation. It handles mineral wool and glass wool, rock (stone) wool, EPS (expanded polystyrene), and XPS (extruded polystyrene). The long 550 mm blade lets you cut through thick boards and batts in one pass.

Low friction, less dust

Unlike Bahco's standard handsaws, this blade is left bare, with no varnish or powder coating. Those coatings add friction and dull the cut on soft materials. The bare blade glides through insulation with less effort and creates less airborne dust.

Built to last

A comfortable two-component handle gives a secure, fatigue-free grip. The saw comes with a rust-protective sleeve impregnated with a Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor (VCI), which guards the bare blade against corrosion in storage. The 0.83 mm blade thickness matches other common saws for rigidity. Made in Sweden.
