The Ramboo PRO Abrasive Metal Rasp Float (385 x 165mm) is designed for keying EPS insulation boards on external wall insulation systems. Because the abrasive metal surface scratches the EPS face, it creates a mechanical key for the basecoat layer. As a result, it is an essential preparation tool on EWI projects before applying mesh and basecoat.

How to Use

Press the rasp lightly against the EPS board and work in small circles from top to bottom. In particular, avoid heavy pressure as excessive force can damage the insulation board surface. In addition, use an industrial hoover while rasping to collect EPS shavings. For tight areas around window and door reveals, the smaller 130mm x 270mm rasp float is better suited.
