Marshalltown Lipped Edging Trowel 6" x 3" DuraSoft — M176D

The M176D is Marshalltown's 6" x 3" lipped edging trowel with a DuraSoft handle. Because it has a raised lip on one side, it tracks along the form board and produces a consistent rounded edge profile on concrete slabs. As a result, concreters use it to finish slab edges cleanly and accurately while the form is still in place.

Lipped Edger vs Curved Ends Edger

The lipped edger and the curved ends edger produce a similar rounded edge profile. However, they work in different situations. In particular, the lipped edger suits work where the form board is still in place — the lip tracks along the board and guides the blade. The curved ends edger works without a form board. For this reason, many concreters stock both types for different stages of the job.

Where It Is Used
