The Dewalt DCL040 is a compact 18V XR LED pivot torch that gives you bright, focused light wherever you're working. It is powered by the same 18V XR batteries as your Dewalt tools, so there's no need for separate torch batteries. That makes it a handy addition to any electrician's, plumber's, mechanic's or builder's kit.
The 110-lumen LED produces a two-zone light pattern with a bright centre spot and wider surrounding light, which is ideal for lighting up the task in front of you. The head pivots more than 90 degrees and locks in place with a ratchet, so you can aim the light exactly where you need it. On a 3.0Ah battery it runs for around 12 hours, enough to last a full working day and more.
It is built for site life, with an impact-resistant housing and a comfortable rubber grip. An integrated hook lets you hang it from scaffolding, joists or pipework, or you can stand it on its base for hands-free lighting. How long does the Dewalt DCL040 run on one battery?
It runs for approximately 12 hours on a 3.0Ah battery. Larger batteries give even longer run time.
Does the DCL040 come with a battery?
No. The DCL040 is the bare unit only. It works with Dewalt 18V XR batteries, which are sold separately.
Can the torch be hung up or stood on its own?
Yes. It has an integrated hook for hanging and can also stand freely on its base for hands-free use.
