Refina has been making professional plastering tools in the UK since 1985. Because they focus exclusively on the wet trades — plastering, rendering, and finishing — every tool in the range is designed by people who understand what plasterers actually need on site. As a result, Refina tools are trusted by professional plasterers across Ireland and the UK.
What Refina Is Known For
Refina built their reputation on flexible trowel technology. In particular, their Plaziflex and Superflex ranges changed the way many plasterers work — reducing wrist and joint strain during long skimming sessions. Because the blades flex with the movement of the hand, they suit plasterers who work large areas at speed.
The Refina Trowel Range
Plaziflex — plastic-bladed skimming trowels with a foam-backed Flexiback design. Available in 1.0mm (fully flexible), 1.5mm (firmer), and 2.0mm (firm flexible) options. A popular choice for finish plastering on board and scratch coat.
Superflex — the original Refina flexible trowel. Stainless steel blade with high flex for finishing and skimming work.
Finatex — premium stainless steel laying-on trowels for applying and spreading plaster coats.
Stainless steel trowels — forged from chrome stainless steel, manufactured in Germany. Rust-resistant and low maintenance.
Floats, Sponges and Accessories
In addition to trowels, Refina produce a range of floats, sponge floats, and plastering accessories. For example, their foam and sponge floats suit the finishing stage of sand and cement and through-colour render work. Wall brushes and plastering accessories complete the range for a full finishing kit.
Why Plasterers Choose Refina
Refina tools are built for professional use. Because the brand focuses on innovation — particularly in blade flexibility and ergonomics — they suit plasterers who cover large volumes of work and need tools that reduce physical strain over a long day. In addition, the stainless steel construction across the range means low maintenance between jobs.
