Plastering Trowels

Marshalltown make finishing trowels in a range of blade steels and handle types. Here is what each option means for your work:

Spring steel — flexible and responsive. This is the traditional choice for skimming and finishing plaster. It gives good blade flex and direct feel.
Stainless steel — rust-resistant and low maintenance. As a result, it is better suited to lime renders and external work. A particularly good choice for Irish site conditions.
Permashape — gold stainless steel blades with a permanent curve built in. This means no break-in time. Ready to use straight from the packaging.
Permaflex — ultra-flexible stainless steel. Designed specifically for thin-coat finishes and venetian plaster work.

Handle Options

In addition to blade choice, Marshalltown offer three handle types:

DuraSoft — moulded rubber grip. Comfortable and shock-absorbing for all-day use.
DuraCork — textured cork-effect surface. It provides extra grip in wet or cold conditions.
Wood handle — traditional turned handle. Light and direct. For this reason, it remains a firm favourite with experienced plasterers.

Bricklaying Trowels

Marshalltown brick trowels come in Philadelphia and London patterns. Standard and wide blades are available in both. In particular, the Wide London Pattern is very popular in Ireland because it gives a good balance of blade size and weight for block and brick work.

Edgers, Corner Trowels and Accessories
