Marshalltown Edger - Curved Ends 6”x3”-DuraSoft Handle (36D)

The 36D is Marshalltown's 6" x 3" curved ends edger with a DuraSoft handle. Because both ends of the blade are rounded, it produces a clean, rounded edge profile on concrete slabs and footpaths. As a result, plasterers and concreters use it wherever the form board has been stripped or where they are working free-hand along a slab edge.

Curved Ends vs Lipped Edger

The lipped edger has a raised lip on one side. Because of this, it tracks along the form board and produces a consistent edge while the board is still in place.

The curved ends edger works differently. In particular, Marshalltown rounds both ends of the blade. As a result, it works free-hand on stripped forms or open slab edges. For this reason, many concreters keep both types in their kit.

Where It Is Used

In addition to concrete slabs, the 36D works well on footpaths, kerb edges, and step nosings. However, it is also used by plasterers on render beds and sand-and-cement floors where a rounded edge finish is specified. Marshalltown also makes a lipped edger version for form-guided work.
