The Makita DUN461WRT is a cordless pole hedge trimmer for tall hedges and high branches. Its telescopic shaft lets you trim up high without a ladder.
It runs on Makita's 18V LXT battery platform. If you already own LXT tools, the battery slots straight into your existing kit.
The telescopic pole extends from 1,889 mm to 2,511 mm. That lets you reach the tops of tall hedges and prune thin branches on high trees while keeping both feet on the ground. A tool-less lock lever makes adjusting the length quick and easy.
The cutting head tilts from 60° up to 75° down from horizontal. You get 10 angle settings, changed with a one-touch button. This lets you shape hedge tops, sides, and awkward angles with ease. The head also folds to 180° for easy transport and storage.
The 460 mm double-sided blades run at 3,600 strokes per minute. They cut branches up to 10 mm thick cleanly and quickly. A reverse rotation system frees the blade if it jams on thicker material.
A slide-type front grip adjusts to suit your working position. A lock-off function and built-in clutch help keep operation safe. At around 3.7 kg with the battery fitted, it stays manageable through longer jobs. XPT (Extreme Protection Technology) improves dust and water resistance for outdoor work.
